About the station
Liuzhi is a small stop on the Guiyang–Kunming conventional line, in a region of karst hills, Buyi villages and the Liuzhi Changjiao Miao township with its distinctive long-horn headdresses.
The station is basic and serves local and regional trains rather than long-distance services. It is a place you arrive at because you are going somewhere specific nearby, not a destination in itself.
Facilities are minimal, so plan food and water before you arrive.
Getting to and from Liuzhi
The station is some distance from the town, with limited taxi availability. Arranging a pickup is sensible.
Onward connections go east toward Anshun and Guiyang and west toward Liupanshui and Kunming.
What catches travellers out here
- Services are infrequent. A missed train here can cost a day.
- The Miao township is a separate location from the town and requires transport. Confirm with your accommodation before setting out.

Before you travel
Tickets are issued against your passport and there is no paper ticket to collect for most domestic services. Read the booking guide if this is your first Chinese train, or the seat class guide if you are choosing between a hard sleeper and a soft sleeper. For the station itself, the general station guide explains how gates and boarding work at any Chinese station.
Station details are compiled from published railway information and are checked periodically. Facilities, station layouts and access arrangements can change — confirm anything critical locally before you travel.
